Ciders and perries will be an important ingredient in a popular beer festival this week.
The annual Medway Beer Festival, which will run from Thursday, November 7 to Saturday, November 9, will also feature a range of award-winning ciders and perries from the Kent Cider Company.
The Canterbury cider maker has been trading for 10 years and has won 17 awards from CAMRA.
Seven of the award-winning drinks will be at the festival at the Stanley Ballroom in Gundulph Road, Chatham.
The centrepiece of the three-day event will be 50 real ales.
There will also be 42 rums from around the world, celebrating the naval history of Medway and the historic dockyard.
Food infused with beer is also being served including sausage and bacon baguettes topped with sticky London Pride onions, cod goujons cooked in Whitstable Bay batter and barbecue pulled pork braised in Old Peculiar.
And in another first, reusable, recyclable, poly-carbonated glasses will be given to festivalgoers. For those who don’t like using them, real glasses will be available for free.
There will be live music each evening.
The event runs from 4pm on the first night and 11am over the weekend and finishes at 11pm all three nights.
