Cheers, ma'am!
What better way to celebrate the Queen’s birthday than to raise a glass to her?
Faversham brewer Shepherd Neame has whipped up a special limited-edition beer in a suitably regal purple presentation box to mark the occasion.
The HMQ Celebration Ale, a full-bodied, traditional beer using only the finest English ingredients, combines pale ale and crystal malts with Challenger and Goldings hops before Bramling Cross hops are added as a dry hop during maturation.
Head brewer Richard Frost said: “As Britain’s oldest brewer, Shepherd Neame is delighted to celebrate the landmark occasion of Her Majesty the Queen’s official 90th birthday with this special beer.
“Strong, reliable and full of character, we feel this is a beer befitting of Britain’s longest-reigning monarch.”
The brew is so limited that just 900 bottles have been released – and we’re giving you the chance of winning one.
We have five bottles of the HMQ Celebration Ale, which costs £17.50 and is 6.5% ABV, to give away.
