Punk legend Toyah is bringing her Up Close and Personal show to Medway this spring.
The singer and actress, who has just finished a residency at Proud Embankment’s Cabaret All Stars before Christmas, will play at the Glassbox Theatre in Gillingham.
The unique chance to see the singer, who shot to fame in 1981 with It's a Mystery, will see her singing and storytelling from her 40-year career, as well as performing her hit singles and classic songs.
Toyah will perform arrangements of hits It’s A Mystery, Thunder In The Mountains, I Want To Be Free and Good Morning Universe alongside modern day songs Sensational and Dance In The Hurricane at the theatre on Thursday, March 24.
Now aged 63, she has attracted a new following recently after broadcasting from her home on YouTube in the first lockdown in 2020, which led to her Sunday Lunch series which has racked up millions of views on YouTube.
The show is presented by promoters AGMP. Doors open at 7pm, with the show starting at 8pm.
