The Broadstairs Dickens Festival is a nod to Charles Dickens’ links to the town, which he often visited from 1837 until 1859 and offers an array of events inspired by his novels.
This year's main entertainment is this weekend, with events running from Thursday, June 20, until Sunday, June 23.
On Thursday at 7.30pm will be Dombey and Son at the Sarah Thorne Theatre.
Other highlights include music on the Bandstand in Victoria Parade and on Saturday Mr Bumble’s tea party on Victoria Gardens at 1.30pm, with entry £5 and a Victorian country fair on the gardens from 10am.
The centrepiece grand parade will be held on Saturday from noon, starting at the war memorial at Pierremont Park and finishing in Victoria Gardens.
