If you’re a real ale fan, Dover is the place to head this weekend as there will be 60 real ales on offer.
The White Cliffs Festival of Winter Ales has been staged by the Deal, Dover, Sandwich and District branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) for 24 years.
Half of this year’s tipples will be from Kent breweries, and the rest – all of which are 5%ABV or more – are from independents and micro breweries. There will also be ciders available.
In keeping with tradition, the Beer of the Festival goes to the first empty firkin of the event.
Held in the historic town hall in Biggin Street, Dover, the festival is on Friday, February 3 from 1pm to 11pm and on Saturday, February 4, between 10.30am to 6pm – unless the beer runs out earlier!
Entry is free for card-carrying CAMRA members and for others it is £5 on Friday and £2 on Saturday.
