Kent’s biggest classical concert returns this summer with orchestras, tribute bands and West End stars.
The Leeds Castle Concert will once again take place in the historic grounds, just outside of Maidstone, with a stellar line-up of proms-style music set to attract thousands of visitors.
The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, who have performed at the event in previous years, will be taking to the stage for another rousing set of classical pieces and familiar tunes.
This year, there will also be performances from musical theatre stars.
Elesha Paul Moses, who has appeared in the Prince of Egypt, Whitney Queen of the Night and, most notably, Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, will headline this year’s concert.
Lara Martins, who holds the record for being the longest-running Carlotta in the Phantom of the Opera, will also perform this summer.
Both West End stars will be making their debut at the Leeds Castle Concert this year.
Elesha said: “Portraying iconic figures like Whitney Houston and Tina Turner has been an extraordinary journey, shaping my career by allowing me to delve into the essence of these legendary artists. Each role has contributed to my growth as a performer, bringing a unique dimension to my craft.
“As I take to the stage at the Leeds Castle Concert, the influence of embodying such powerful voices infuses my performance with authenticity and a deep connection to the music, making this experience even more special.”
Visitors can also sing and dance along to some of the biggest songs from Swedish superstars, Abba, as Captial Voices pay tribute to the Eurovision legends.
The vocal group will be celebrating 50 years since the group won the song contest with tunes such as Waterloo, Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia, Gimme Gimme Gimme and more.
The night will finish with a spectacular fireworks finale set against the backdrop of the castle.
The Leeds Castle Concert takes place on Saturday, July 13. You can book tickets online here.
Tickets cost £57 per person, with the option to add a picnic hamper for two for £53.
