Comic books used to be the territory of the bespectacled whiz kid, but with the resurgence of geek chic and a high-tech masterminding of the world’s most-famous superhero villains, this genre is great for adults and adolescents alike.
With enough explosions, fast cars and fancy gadgets to engage the youngsters, and a subtle yet inventive character development this is definitely a film worth seeing.
Starring heartthrob Robert Downey Jr and critically-acclaimed Samuel L Jackson, this well-cast fantasy is a great homage to the creativity of Marvel.
Did you know? The character Ultron first appeared in the 1960s. Like Frankenstein, he came to hate his creator and father figure, eventually brainwashing him.
Is it for me? If you like robots, comics and men with muscles, yes. If you liked Batman; The Dark Knight Rises this is right up your street. If you prefer sunsets, pacifism or realism, maybe not.
