Comedian Al Murray has announced an intimate warm-up gig ahead of his new tour, Guv Island.
The Pub Landlord will be performing his work-in-progress show at the Hazlitt Theatre in Maidstone later this month.
The newly-added date will see the stand-up star, who has hosted shows such as Al Murray's Happy Hour, Al Murray's Road to Berlin and Al Murray's Multiple Personality Disorder, perform new material from his upcoming tour.
The comic has several stand-up specials under his belt, including shows at the London Palladium and The O2, and recently appeared on stage in the Crown Jewels alongside Mel Giedroyc, Joe Thomas, Neil Morrissey and Carrie Hope Fletcher.
Since the 1990s, Al Murray has performed as parody character the Pub Landlord and used this persona in his candidacy for the seat of South Thanet in the 2015 general election.
He founded the Free United Kingdom Party and ran against then-UKIP leader Nigel Farage, receiving more than 300 votes.
Tickets for Al Murray’s work-in-progress show at the Hazlitt Theatre, which takes place on Tuesday, January 23, are on sale now and can be booked here.
Tickets start from £17 and can also be booked by calling 01622 758611.
