Singer and presenter Aled Jones is set to be the narrator for this summer's Leeds Castle Classical Concert.
It will be Aled's first time at the concert, which will be held on Saturday, July 9, and always attracts thousands to the picturesque venue near Maidstone.
He said: "I am so looking forward to this show at this most wonderful castle in Kent, the garden of England. The perfect setting for what we all hope will be a beautiful summer’s evening. Here’s to July 9th!"
A household name since the 1980s when he sang Walking in the Air as a boy soprano, he has had a busy career as a presenter in recent years, on shows including Escape to the Country and Cash in the Attic for the BBC and co-presenting ITV's breakfast show Daybreak with Lorraine Kelly. He has also hosted his own show, Weekend, on ITV.
He has also continued a singing career, and has toured the UK and Australia in the last six months. His album One Voice is the highest charting classical album for nine years.
Organisers of the concert, Heritage Events, said in a statement: "We are thrilled that Aled can host this year's concert. He brings his unique personality as a presenter to this iconic Kent event and we are honoured he has agreed to join us."
The Leeds Castle Classical Concert will feature an uplifting orchestral programme from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by John Rigby, plus soloists Frances Mc Cafferty and Anthony Flaum.
Special guests are The Definitive Rat Pack and P&O Ferries Choir. There will also be a Spitfire display and firework finale.
