Amazon’s big summer sale continues today with more bargain offers and special deals up until midnight.

Amazon yesterday got its 36-hour Prime Day 2018 event underway with millions of shoppers homing in on the online retailer to cash in on some of the deals that went live at noon.

Over a million special offers would have gone live by the time the 36-hour sale ends.

Amazon will have different deals currently on the go, including spotlight deals that will be live throughout all of Prime Day as well as lightning deals (up to six hours and limited stock).

The sale is exclusive only to customers of the Prime service but Amazon is offering a free 30-day trial for non-Prime subscribers wishing to get their hands on those special offers. Those new members will then be charged £7.99 per month once the trial period expires.

Prime subscribers are entitled to a number of enhanced services such as cheaper rates for Discovery, Shudder, BFI and MGM video channels, four months of AMU (Amazon Music Unlimited) for 99p and a bounty for every qualifying Prime free trial sign-up.

Some of the Amazon devices on special offer include the Alexa-powered Echo Show smart speaker with screen going on sale at half price (£99.99 down from £199.99) and the Fire 7 Kids Edition Tablet at a 40% discount - standing at £59.99 after being trimmed down from £99.99.
