Amazon has announced its “biggest ever” Black Friday with the online retailer offering its customers thousands of deals in the run-up to the mammoth sale on November 23.
The Black Friday sales frenzy - which is followed by the equally popular Cyber Monday sale (November 26) - marks the biggest shopping day of the year with Amazon traditionally a key player in the annual event.
And with Christmas just around the corner, Amazon customers can save millions of pounds on tens of thousands of items starting from as early as Friday, November 16 all the way up to Sunday November 25.
Amazon has so far stayed quiet on exactly what items will be put on sale at cut prices but pundits are predicting a huge rush on the offers set to be rolled out before and during Black Friday.
"We focus on making shopping as easy and enjoyable for the customer as possible,” said Doug Gurr, country manager, Amazon.co.uk.
“We also hope customers will enjoy the new AR View feature in the app, which uses augmented reality technology to allow shoppers to see selected products in their own home before they decide to buy.”
Gurr goes on to say that AR View is expected to be ready ahead of the Black Friday sale while another new feature, Prime Wardrobe which is exclusive to Prime Members only, will allow fashion lovers to try before they buy.
The upcoming Black Friday Deals Store will be open at 12am on Friday, November 16 before coming to a close at 11:59pm on Sunday, November 25 - just a minute shy of Cyber Monday.
Amazon will also be firing out new Deals of the Day daily throughout the period across the site, with products ranging from electronics, toys and fashion to sports, beauty and home items. There may also be some special offers on Amazon's own services and products too.
Lightning Deals - products available at a discount, in limited quantities, for a short period of time - will also be rolled out with new deals becoming available as often as every five minutes.
Amazon Prime members, including customers enjoying a 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime, can benefit from an exclusive 30 minute early access period to all Lightning Deals.
Amazon is once again offering a free 30-day trial, meaning it is not too late to sign up and also be eligible for special Prime offers.
New members will then be charged £7.99 per month once the trial period expires.
