The Medway Big Splash will be taking place at Medway Park and Strood sports centres

Young and old will be jumping in at the deep end for the Medway Big Splash.

Swimmers of all abilities are invited to take part in a weekend of watersports, aquatics and fun at Medway Park and Strood sports centres.

From 10am to 5pm on Saturday, January 18 both centres will host free taster sessions and lessons including diving and lifesaving, synchronised swimming, sub aqua and snorkelling, water polo and aqua zumba.

There’s a free Family Big Splash Pool Party at Strood from 3pm to 5pm, and at Medway Park from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, with inflatables and raft games, a family swim gala, races and medals and a pool disco.

Dive in

On Sunday, January 19 the Big Swim Challenge is taking place at both centres. Participants are invited to swim between one length and one mile, as a team or individually, for charity, or just for fun.

Every participant receives a free T-shirt.
