One of Kent’s most successful bands of 2014 round off the year with a Christmas tour on home turf.
CoCo and the Butterfields will play five gigs over the coming week.
They will be at the Gentlemen’s Club in Tenterden on Saturday, December 20 from 9pm, then to Ramsgate Music Hall on Sunday, December 21 at 5.30pm and again at 9pm.
The tour continues at the Alexander Centre in Faversham on Monday, December 22 at 9pm, and then concludes at The Ballroom in Canterbury on Tuesday, December 23 at 9pm.
The Canterbury-based five-piece band’s lively brand of folk hip hop has won such a fanbase that this year they played at Glastonbury, were in-demand across the UK from Scotland to Devon, and played their biggest gig yet at Margate Winter Gardens to launch their EP, See The Sun. Tickets to the Christmas tour gigs cost £11. Visit

Another string to Dulcima's bow
CoCo and the Butterfields frontwoman Dulcima Showan is not only a talented violinist and singer but an accomplished seamstress with her own clothing range.
“I began sewing when I was about seven and was given lots of bits of fabric from my grandmother,” said Dulcima.
“ I made a lot of clothes for myself, including jackets and cardigans.
“I’m self-taught but now I’ve launched CoCo and the Butterfields Clothesline based on my own designs. It’s a web-based shop and is going really well. I’ve had lots of encouraging comments.Together with the band, it’s pretty hectic because it quite time-consuming.
“At the moment I’m a one-woman operation so am going to need some help. But I don’t want it to interfere with the band, which is my priority.”
