Times are tough, but local businesses across Kent are working away to offer us something we can all still enjoy - food.

In the third in our series, we highlight seven more firms providing takeaways in lockdown. See if there's one near you to try:

The Quay, Faversham

Nicky Martin and partner Tania took on The Quay in May last year and managed to open after a refurbishment in October for a short time before the county was plunged into the tier system. At their previous site in The Carriage Restaurant they had run a Donate a Dinner scheme during the first lockdown and in this one they have a takeaway collection and local delivery service on Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday lunchtimes. The West End Tavern, Marden

The Grade II listed pub on the Goudhurst Road is usually brimming with history and atmosphere, but the team have adapted to lockdown, offering takeaways Mondays to Saturdays 6pm to 8pm Monday to Thursday and 5.30pm to 8.30pm Fridays and Saturdays. The pub also has Harvey's mini kegs for delivery but you'll need to be uber local for those and live in the village. The Griff Shack, Chillenden

Managers founded the Griff Shack based on the success of their food over the summer and, when lockdown came, they looked at how to help the local community while also proving hearty evening meals, and picked Italian cuisine. The menu includes pizzas, pastas, burgers and a speciality dish, Spiedini, and deliveries can go to areas including Wingham, Sandwich, Eastry, Tilmanstone, Worth and Aylesham. There are some special offers coming soon to add to the existing key worker Wednesdays deal. Open seven days a week from 4.30pm to 9.30pm, demand has also meant the need for more staff - a boost given the current climate. Find out more at the Facebook page here.

Diamond BBQ in New Romney

The Turkish restaurant in New Romney High Street is busy cooking up some takeaway treats throughout lockdown. The restaurant is also on Foodhub and Just Eat, or you can catch up with their latest offering and discount on online orders at their Facebook page, or go to diamondbbq.co.uk

The Old Bank, Westerham

The restaurant run by Adam and Emma Turley in the Market Square in Westerham is offering an ‘at home’ menu each weekend throughout lockdown.

You can get head chef Adam Turley’s latest delicacies to go for £30 for two courses, or £40 for three - the food is prepared for you and full instructions are given on how to heat it. Orders must be placed by 10pm each Tuesday for the coming weekend, though Valentine's weekend is already fully booked. The business is also included in the Michelin Guide 2021. The Curious Eatery, Boughton Monchelsea

If you're feeling curious this Friday, the eatery at the Albion Inn in Boughton Monchelsea's Church Street has its regular Chippy Friday, and is also offering a Valentine's meal to finish off at home. One Kent Online reader said of their food "It's amazing!" The eatery, which has kitchen takeovers and other goodies in the pipeline, is run by sisters Lesley and Nicole Parry. The Coffee Lounge, Dymchurch

The Coffee Lounge at 18-20 Mill Road, Dymchurch, has been working hard to provide takeaways and home deliveries to locals in lockdown. Their breakfast boxes have proved popular, as well as the upcoming Valentine's boxes. Local Kevan Allaway said: "Their brunch and breakfast boxes are amazing."
