Another huge artist will be dropping by the Kent coast this weekend for an open-air concert.
Bastille, best known for hits Pompeii and Happier, will be taking to Margate’s Scenic Stage for a special anniversary show as part of their nationwide tour.
The headline concert will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the band’s debut album, Bad Blood.
The album, released in 2013, went straight to the top of the UK Album Chart and spawned Top 10 single Pompeii.
The following year, the group received four BRIT Award nominations and have since sold 11 million albums worldwide.
The band have continued to release a string of successful albums and singles over the past decade, including their most recent album Give Me the Future.
The album, which came out in February 2022, was another smash hit for the South London four-piece, once again reaching the No. 1 spot.
Throughout their career the band’s live shows, including festival slots at Reading and Leeds, Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage and Isle of Wight Festival and supporting slots alongside artists such as Emeli Sandé and Muse, have drawn crowds from all over the world.
The Bad Blood X tour is a special show to celebrate a stellar decade of hits, as well as a chance for the band to thank fans for their support over the past 10 years.
Bastille will be at Dreamland on Saturday, July 1. You can book tickets online here.
The show at Dreamland was the first concert announced for this year’s Margate Summer Series.
The summer concert series has already kicked off with concerts from Placebo, Rag ‘n’ Bone Man, Queens of the Stone Age and the Soundcrash Funk and Soul Weekender featuring Kool and the Gang.
The series will see a number of big name artists, such as Tom Jones, Two Door Cinema Club and Primal Scream, perform on the venue’s outdoor Scenic Stage until September.
