Elvis may have left the building almost 50 years ago, but Ben Portsmouth is doing his best to bring him back.
Ben, who has been impersonating The King for more than two decades, is currently taking his This Is Elvis tour all over the world - including two Kent dates.
The singer will be bringing the production to Folkestone and Gravesend, as well as venues across the country and some international dates.
The tribute act is a trip down memory lane through Elvis Presley’s most iconic eras, from his early rockabilly days to his ‘68 Comeback Special and 1970s Vegas concerts, where Ben has performed sold-out gigs himself.
The show includes hits such as Suspicious Minds, I Can’t Help Falling in Love With You, Viva Las Vegas and Jailhouse Rock, all performed by Ben and the Taking Care of Elvis band.
During his career, Ben has achieved numerous accolades, including being named the Worldwide Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist in Memphis, and has performed on the Late Show with David Letterman.
“It’s fantastic to see such diverse age groups attending the shows,” says Ben. “It proves what we already know – and that is just how much of a legend The King was. His music continues to touch hearts for many reasons.”
“At the end of the day, the greatest part is being on stage, feeling that you’ve given your best performance and making people happy. If you walk off stage and think, yeah, we’ve all had a good time, I’ve done my job.”
This Is Elvis will be at Leas Cliff Hall in Folkestone on Wednesday, November 27 and The Woodville in Gravesend on Thursday, February 13 2025.
You can book tickets to all dates online here.
