A diverse line-up is on offer at this year’s Castle Concerts, from legendary rockers Status Quo to boyband The Wanted. Four nights of live music will take place in the stunning and intimate setting of Rochester Castle Gardens.

Wednesday, July 17: Status Quo

After a sell-out performance at the Castle Gardens in 2010, veteran Britain rockers Status Quo are returning to the venue as part of their worldwide summer tour.

Featuring founding members Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt, the Quo are now celebrating more than 50 years in the music business.

The show starts at 7.30pm. All tickets have been sold but returns may be available from the box office.

Thursday, July 18: The Wanted with support from A*M*E and the Vamps

Max, Nathan, Tom, Jay and Siva have become one of Britain’s biggest pop bands since they first performed at Rochester Castle Gardens alongside the Saturdays in 2010, wowing the crowds with their infectious tunes and laddish charms.

The boys have since notched up four top five singles and two No.1s, and are back to thank their Kent fans for all the support, headlining their own show with hits including All Time Low and Glad You Came, plus tracks from their new album.

Friday, July 19: 80s Night featuring Tony Hadley, ABC, and Go West, with support from the Fortunate

Lead singer of New Romantic pioneers Spandau Ballet, Tony Hadley, will be delighting audiences with classic hits including Gold, Only When You Leave, Lifeline and the epic Through The Barricades.

More than 30 years since their iconic debut album the Lexicon of Love, Martin Fry and ABC will be showcasing chart-topping songs including Tears are not Enough, Poison Arrow, The Look of Love and All of My Heart, while Go West’s Peter Cox and Richard Drummie will get the crowds rocking to their back catalogue including Call Me, Don’t Look Down and We Close Our Eyes.

Saturday, July 20: Rochester Castle Proms 2013

Grab a picnic, some fizz and your Union Flag to enjoy a sublime summer evening of classical music.

The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and special guests soprano Laura Wright and the Hertfordshire Chorus will perform in the idyllic setting of the Castle Gardens.

Don’t miss the rousing finale of fireworks and your flag-waving favourites including Land of Hope and Glory, Rule Britannia and the 1812 Overture. The fun starts at 7.15pm. Tickets £30.
