Two huge British artists are set to perform a weekend of live music at the Kent coast.
Rock band Placebo and singer-songwriter Rag'n'Bone Man will both play back-to-back headline shows at Dreamland in Margate as part of the town’s Summer Series.
Placebo will take to the stage first with an open-air concert on Friday, June 9.
The duo, consisting of frontman Brian Molko and bassist Stefan Olsdal, will be playing their biggest hits, including the Top 10 1997 single Nancy Boy and their BRIT Award-nominated track Pure Morning.
Since the release of their self-titled debut album in 1996, Placebo have performed in arenas and stadiums across the world, including a UK stadium tour with American band My Chemical Romance last year.
Their androgynous look and lyrics about sexuality, mental health and drug use have gained the band notoriety over the years.
The following night, on Saturday, June 10, Rag'n'Bone Man will perform at the 5,000-capacity venue.
Rory Graham rose to fame as Rag'n'Bone Man in 2016 with his debut single Human, which became the most downloaded and top-selling single on the week of its release.
In 2017, he won two BRIT Awards for British Breakthrough Act and Critics’ Choice Award.
His debut album, also titled Human, shot to the top of the chart, going 4x Platinum and receiving worldwide accolades, as well as another BRIT Award for Best British Single in 2018.
You can book tickets to both concerts online here.
The artists join the likes of Tom Jones, McFly, Queens of the Stone Age, Two Door Cinema Club and N-Dubz for this year’s Margate Summer Series, which continues until September.
