It’s been a long wait - but we’ll meet again this weekend for a night of flag-waving, festival atmosphere and fireworks.

The Leeds Castle Concert is back after a year’s postponement for a sensational open air night on Saturday, September 4.

One of the county’s biggest nights of music will feature the world-class Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by John Rigby, and Down for the Count swing orchestra; field guns and a Spitfire flypast.

Five sensational soloists will also star: tenor Alexander James Edward, who has performed at the concert twice before; Tim Howar, whose versatile voice has earned him the nickname Tim “the power” Howar; West End Wicked star Louise Dearman, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang star Emma Williams and baritone Felix Kemp making their debuts.

Emma said: “I’m so excited to be re-visiting Leeds Castle - one of my favourite places - but this time as a performer instead of in the audience.”

Felix added: “After the long and difficult year behind us, this will be a very special day for us all to enjoy together, with a smile and a glass of Champagne and the hope for better times ahead.”

Sponsored by law firm Brachers, the event is also raising funds for the Heart of Kent Hospice, which has run Elmer’s Big Heart of Kent Parade this summer.
