Thanet Beer and Cider Festival returns to Margate’s Winter Gardens over the Easter bank holiday weekend

After two years away, the Thanet Beer and Cider Festival returns to the Winter Gardens in Margate this Easter.
Over the bank holiday weekend, discerning drinkers from across the county can sample the huge variety of real ale and craft ciders on offer.
Showcasing a range of bottled and draught beers and ciders, the festival brings some of the most innovative and celebrated breweries from Kent and beyond together for two days of delicious drinks.
There will be plenty of Kent-based booze making an appearance at the coastal town over the weekend, including Angels and Demons, from Capel-le-Ferne near Folkestone, which will be serving its Black Taxi to the Moon Porter.
The Kent Brewery from Birling, near Maidstone, will also be appearing at the festival, serving not one but three of its show-stopping beers. The brewery will be delighting visitors with French Kiss, a strawberry IPA; Nelson Sauvin, a grape pale ale; and Prohibition, a citrus pale ale.
Visitors will also be able to sample drinks from the venue’s doorstep from local breweries such as Margate’s own Northdown, which will be serving four beers from their range - a bitter, a stout, a pale ale and a summer table beer.
There will also be a selection of food available to wash down with your beer, along with lots of live entertainment for you to raise your pint glass to.
The Thanet Beer and Cider Festival is at the Winter Gardens from Good Friday to Saturday, April 16. Book online here.
