Comedian Iain Stirling has escaped the Love Island villa and is hitting the road for a stand-up tour.

The voiceover star is known for narrating the sun-soaked dating show in the summer but, this spring, he’s going back to his roots with a live tour across the country, including a night in Canterbury.

The BAFTA-winner is bringing his new live show, Relevant, to the city’s Gulbenkian Arts Centre as part of his nationwide tour.

After working on the comedy circuit as a university student, the Scottish funnyman landed his first TV role on CBBC.

He presented the children’s channel for four years before being given his own show, the Dog Ate My Homework, for which he won a BAFTA in 2016.

Since 2015, Iain has been the voice of ITV2’s Love Island, which his wife Laura Whitmore also presented for three seasons.

The pair also host the podcasts Partners in Crime and Murder They Wrote together.

Over the past decade, the comic has appeared on TV shows such as Taskmaster, Celebrity Gogglebox and Buffering, a sitcom he wrote with actor and fellow stand-up Steve Bugeja.

Iain Stirling will be at the Gulbenkian in Canterbury on Friday, April 12. You can book tickets online here.

You can also find a full list of tour dates on the comedian’s website.
