Larger than life comic book characters and sci-fi figures will be taking over a town centre this weekend.

Twice a year you can see the likes of Darth Vader rubbing shoulders with Spiderman as hundreds of costumed characters head for a convention in Maidstone.

Comic book shop owner Graham Beadle of the Grinning Demon, runs the event for families as well as die-hard fans, where you can see the characters, be drawn by some of your favourite comic book artists, plus buy merchandise and memorabilia.

This year Demoncon XI will be held on Sunday, February 7 in the Royal Star Arcade in Maidstone from 11am.
