Tom Collins
Ingredients: 50ml gin, 25ml lemon juice, 25ml sugar syrup, 125ml soda water
Combine the ingredients over plenty of ice in a Collins glass, stir gently and garnish with a slice of lemon.
Bramble
Ingredients: 40ml gin, 20ml sugar syrup, 20ml lemon juice, 10ml crème de mure, berries or lemon zest for garnish
Add the gin, lemon juice and syrup into a shaker and shake well. Pour the contents over crushed ice and top with crème de mure through the drink. Garnish with lemon zest and maybe some seasonal berries.
Bee’s knees
Ingredients: 50ml gin, 10ml runny honey, 5ml water, 15ml lemon juice
Add the water to the honey and stir to ensure it is runny like syrup. Pour the mixture into a shaker and add the gin, lemon juice and some crushed ice. Shake well and then strain into cocktail glasses.
Cucumber & coriander G&T
Ingredients: 30ml gin, a few coriander sprigs, a chunky cucumber stick, tonic water (to fill glass), ice cubes
Add the gin, ice cubes and coriander sprigs into a tumbler glass before then stirring with the cucumber. Top up with tonic water and mix well.
Gin Mojito
Ingredients: 50ml gin, 3 lime wedges, mint, 3 teaspoons of sugar, crushed ice, apple juice, mint to garnish
Add the gin, lime wedges, sugar and a few mint leaves to a highball glass and stir. Fill with a crushed ice and then top up with apple juice. Add a sprig of fresh mint to garnish.
Moll Cocktail
Ingredients: 30ml gin, 30ml sloe gin, 30ml vermouth, dash orange bitters, 1 teaspoon sugar
Shake with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass
Lemon & elderflower fizz (six glasses)
Ingredients: 75ml gin, 1 lemon, 2 teaspoons and 2 tablespoons of caster sugar, 50ml elderflower cordial, 750ml prosecco, 4 tablespoons lemon sorbet, 2 tablespoons of caster sugar
Put aside half of the lemon juice and 2 tablespoons of the caster sugar for garnish. Mix the gin, lemon juice, sugar and elderflower cordial into a large jug. Stir until the sugar has dissolved. Then add the prosecco, the sorbet and stir well. Dip the rim of each glass in the juice, then the remaining sugar. Pour into the prepared glasses and pop in a few strips of lemon zest and ice.
French 75
Ingredients: 10ml gin, 10ml orange liqueur, 10ml lemon juice, 5ml sugar, fizz of your choice
Mix the gin, orange liqueur and lemon juice in a tall glass with lots of ice. Add the fizz.
Gin Fizz
Ingredients: 50ml gin, 30ml lemon juice, 10ml sugar syrup, 1 teaspoon sugar, 20ml lightly whipped egg white (optional), soda water
Add the gin, lemon juice, sugar syrup, sugar and egg white (if used) into a shaker with a little ice and strain into a highball glass half-filled with ice cubes. Top up with soda water.
Tarra-Gin
Ingredients: 50ml gin, 25ml lime juice, lime slices, 15ml tarragon syrup
First make the tarragon syrup by adding fresh tarragon leaves and 2 teaspoons of white sugar to hot water until the sugar dissolves - do not boil. Let it cool for 10 minutes and then strain off the tarragon. Pour into a tumbler along with gin and ice. Stir well and garnish with thin slice of lime.
