My concert buddy was so bowled over after seeing pop crooner Michael Bublé, she actually said it was the best day of her life!
She and thousands of fans watched the huge artist completely take over the Spitfire Ground in Canterbury last night.
The Grammy-award winning singer's fans had waited a long time to see the Canadian in person as his show had been postponed last year due to the pandemic.
And I think the 7,000 people in the ground last night thought it was well worth the wait as he took to the stage belting out his numerous hits and big band ballads. And I can absolutely say he did not disappoint.
His headline performance was phenomenal, there are no two ways about it.
He was on stage for about an hour-and-a-half and of course, treated each and everyone of us to those massive tunes we all love.
Fans went wild for hits such as Feeling Good, Home, Haven't Met You Yet, Everything, Hold On, It's a Beautiful Day and of course, Cry Me a River.
He also stunned fans with other well know covers such as When You're Smiling, To Love Somebody, You’re the First, the Last, My Everything and he certainly pleased each and every one of us with a few Elvis numbers too.
And his interaction with the crowds was not only funny, but also very, very cute.
When he spotted probably the youngest member of the audience in the crowds, a baby (sporting massive headphones to protect her little ears), he joked she would be buying all his records when she was older... He was totally enamoured with her.
And my concert buddy and I and the thousands of other music fans in the ground were truly enamoured with him, his show, entitled An Evening with Michael Bublé, was just fantastic.
He and his big band certainly know how to entertain fans and give them a very, very good night and what better place to see it than The Spitfire Ground, it's just perfect for gigs.
The event was well organised, staff were friendly and the weather was just splendid.
So...which cricket grounds are the coolest? The ones full of fans, especially Michael Bublé ones...
