The magical light trail at Bedgebury National Pinetum, near Goudhurst, returns for another year of Christmas illuminations.
It might be a little early to start thinking about the festive season, but this sellout event has announced its dates for 2022 and you’ll need to snap up tickets soon if you want to visit.
You can discover sparkling light tunnels, colourful Christmas trees and flickering flames as more than a million twinkling lights will bring the country park to life.
The annual festive trail returned last year after being cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic.
The after-dark trail winds through the countryside park from Friday, November 18 and will continue on selected dates through to Monday, January 2.
The trail features giant hanging baubles, seasonal sounds from the woodlands and a mesmerising fire garden. There will also be a chance for children to say hello to Father Christmas along the way.
The route is approximately 1.33 miles and should take around 90 minutes to complete. Visitors will follow a circular trail to see the larger-than-life illuminations, which passes the Bedgebury Café where you can stop for a spiced winter warmer, hot chocolate or toasted marshmallows.
The evening event is the perfect way to get everyone in the mood for the Christmas festivities with a spectacular visual display for the whole family - even dogs are welcome!
You might want to grab your walking boots, however, as the trail is outside and does have some uneven surfaces throughout the nature park.
The trail is also uncovered, so be prepared for a spot of rain or some windy weather. If the bad weather presents a safety risk on any particular date the trail may be cancelled, but visitors will be notified and guided through the re-booking process so you don’t miss out.
The Christmas trail at Bedgebury National Pinetum takes place from Friday, November 18 to Monday, January 2. Time slots are available between 4.15pm and 8pm, however some times are only available on select dates.
