Apply for free tickets to Kent’s top attractions as the ballot for the Kent Big Weekend 2023 opens

You can bag yourself free tickets to some of the county’s biggest attractions as the Kent Big Weekend returns.
The two-day event, which takes place in June, will offer Kent residents the chance to get into places such as Dover Castle, Leeds Castle and the Historic Dockyard Chatham at no cost.
The ballot is now open and those who wish to apply for tickets have until Monday, June 12 to enter.
Many of the tickets offer free admission to historic attractions, with castles in Dover, Deal, Rochester, Upnor and Walmer all topping the list.
Those with an interest in history can also apply for tickets to England’s oldest cathedral, Canterbury Cathedral, the home of Charles Darwin, Down House, and the ruins of St Augustine's Abbey.
You can also admire the fascinating collections at museums and galleries such as the Historic Dockyard Chatham, the Battle of Britain Memorial in Folkestone, the Dickens House Museum in Broadstairs and the Powell-Cotton Museum in Birchington-on-Sea.
There are also a number of family days out on offer, with tickets to animal parks such as Howletts and Port Lympne, theme parks such as Diggerland and Dreamland, and unique attractions such as Betteshanger Park and the Margate Caves all up for grabs.
As well as free entry tickets, the ballot also includes a number of activities for both children and adults.
Winners can enjoy experiences such as afternoon teas, brewery and vineyard tours, beer tasting, bike rides, guided walks, spa treatments and scuba diving - all completely free of charge.
The Kent Big Weekend takes place on Saturday, June 24 and Sunday, June 25. You can enter the ballot online here.
Winners will be notified by email on Tuesday, June 13.
