If, after all that chocolate and roast lamb, you’ve still got a taste for Kentish street food this Easter then you’re in luck.

The Broadstairs Food Festival returns for the Easter bank holiday weekend with more than 80 food and drink stalls to choose from.

From boozy cupcakes to plant-based bites, there will be a huge selection of treats from Kent-based producers to suit everyone’s tastes.

The festival, which takes place twice a year, will also showcase a handful of sellers from neighbouring counties.

Some of the stands due to appear at the festival over the weekend include Anno Distillers, Cheesemakers of Canterbury, Hide and Greek, Kent Cider, Radburger, the Tipsy Bakery and the Vegan Habit.

There will also be live entertainment on the Broadstairs Bandstand and family cookery workshops hosted by Chequers Cookery School, based in Deal.

The award-winning Cheesemakers of Canterbury will be at the festival this year

The three-day festival, which kicks off this year on Good Friday, began in 2009 as a way to celebrate the coastal town’s independent shops, restaurants and pubs and support the high streets of Broadstairs, Margate and Ramsgate.

Since then, the festival has expanded to include producers from across the county and the south east.

This year, the Easter festival will once again be held at the cliff top site of Victoria Gardens, overlooking Viking Bay.

The festival takes place from Good Friday to Easter Sunday. Entry is free and there’s no need to book.
