Embrace the festive spirit with The Grinch, put on a show with Nativity or stay Home Alone with Kevin this Christmas.

These three much-loved festive films are being shown on the big screen at Dreamland’s new Christmas World in Margate this December.

The seaside fairground has transformed its indoor Hall By the Sea venue into a grotto with children’s activities, elf shows and a giant screen to show Christmas classics over three dates.

It starts with How the Grinch Stole Christmas on Monday, December 18.

The film, released in 2000, is based on the Dr Seuss children’s book and stars Jim Carrey.

The venue will then show Nativity, a family favourite following a teacher, his hapless assistant and a group of school children who try to put on a Christmas play good enough for Hollywood, on Tuesday, December 19.

The film stars Martin Freeman, Marc Wootton, Ashley Jensen and Alan Carr and spawned three sequels and a musical adaptation.

The series of films finishes with ‘90s classic Home Alone on Wednesday, December 20.

When eight-year-old Kevin McCallister, played by Macaulay Culkin, is left behind by his family, he must take chaotic precautions to protect the family home from two bumbling burglars.

The blockbuster was released in 1990 and was nominated for two Academy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards.
