Let your creative side loose with a week of fun-filled art activities.
The first ever Art Week in Tunbridge Wells starts today and will give visitors the opportunity to take part in more than 20 different arts and crafts activities, including classes, workshops and talks.
Whether you want to improve your photography skills, impress your friends and family with homemade gifts or learn the art of watercolour painting, there is set to be a wide array of activities on offer.
Some of the events available to the public include bath bomb making at Lush, floristry workshops at The Cove, embroidery and glass making at Glass by Claudia and photography and watercolour classes on The Pantiles.
Children’s activities include designing a duck, creating your own crown with royal characters, building a 3D cardboard model, and face painting and glitter art.
The timetable is packed full of sessions, all of which take place at businesses represented by the Royal Tunbridge Wells Together Business Improvement District, who are the organisers behind this debut Art Week.
To access the week-long celebration of arts, crafts and design for free, members of the public will need to sign up for one of the 547 spaces available.
Those who are interested in signing up are being asked to make sure they can definitely attend before booking and to select just one or two of their favourite activities to give more people a chance to join in.
During the week, there will also be a free colouring book, made specially for Art Week containing sketches of the town, for you to pick up.
You can also enter your artwork in the colouring competition, with prizes including a hamper from Rymans and art supplies from M. Saltmarsh up for grabs.
Art Week takes place until Monday, August 29. To find out more about how to get involved and book your place, click here.
