Put on your dancing shoes this bank holiday weekend as the Maidstone Fringe Festival returns to take over the county town.

The five-day festival kicks off on Thursday, April 28 and will celebrate the diversity of live music across Maidstone's venues, from pubs and clubs to halls and studios.

Glenn Tilbrook, lead singer and guitarist of 1970s band Squeeze, will headline the festivities with his latest solo show at the fringe’s newest venue, Studio 6.

The studio, part of the Mandy Ellen Performing Arts School, will host the new wave star as he performs a mixture of his own material and Squeeze classics, such as the 1979 smash hit Up the Junction, Tempted and Take Me I’m Yours.

Glenn will be joined at the festival by his son, Leon Tilbrook, who has picked up the performing bug from his father and will be opening the concert.
