One of the biggest rock bands of the century has announced a surprise comeback gig in London - and tickets are on sale now.

Linkin Park have been on hiatus since the death of frontman Chester Bennington in 2017 but, last week, the group announced their return to the music scene with new vocalist Emily Armstrong and drummer Colin Brittain.

The band invited fans to join a live stream last Thursday (September 5) where they performed together on stage for the first time in seven years.

The new single, the Emptiness Machine, was also announced and is expected to be their best-selling UK single, with the potential to beat Sabrina Carpenter to the top spot in tonight’s charts.

Along with the new members and single, Linkin Park have also revealed a string of tour dates set to take place in just a few short weeks.

The rap-metal group will play six arena shows in Los Angeles, New York, Hamburg, London, Seoul and Bogota as part of their From Zero World Tour.

When Chester’s death was announced in 2017, the band immediately cancelled all tour dates at the time and went on an indefinite hiatus.

Up until that point, the six-piece, including guitarist Mike Shinoda and DJ Joe Hahn, had achieved hit singles with In the End, Numb and What I’ve Done.

Their debut album, Hybrid Theory, has sold more than 32 million copies worldwide and their following two albums - Meteora (2003) and Minutes to Midnight (2007) - reached No. 1 in the UK.

The new album, From Zero, is set to be released on Friday, November 15 via Warner Records and Machine Shop.
