Kent audiences will be among the first to hear Jimmy Carr’s latest jokes at a work-in-progress show.

The comedian will be testing out his new material at the Orchard West Theatre in Dartford - but you’ll have to be quick if you want tickets.

The newly-announced date goes on sale tomorrow (February 14) at 10am. You can book tickets online here.

The 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown host, who often performs to sold-out crowds at theatres all over the country, will be performing a new set ahead of his upcoming tour.

The tour, entitled Laughs Funny, kicks off in May with two shows at Folkestone’s Leas Cliff Hall.

The stand-up will then visit towns all over the country, including the Churchill Theatre in Bromley, the Assembly Hall Theatre in Tunbridge Wells and the Central Theatre in Chatham.

The TV host has been a familiar face on our screens since the noughties, having started his first major presenting gig on Channel 4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats in 2005.

Since then, the comic has presented shows such as the Big Fat Quiz of the Year and I Literally Just Told You and has performed at venues including the London Palladium and The O2 Arena.

He has also released three Netflix specials - Funny Business in 2016, The Best Of Ultimate Gold Greatest Hits in 2019 and His Dark Material in 2021.
