Fun activities to keep fit in 2020 at Maidstone YMCA in Kent

And it’s not just about exercise and counting calories at this popular sports and community centre in the heart of Maidstone.

The activities on hand at Maidstone YMCA include a gym, exercise classes, creche, pre-school, 3G outdoor pitches and a cafe.

“Here at the centre in Loose, we provide a range of great activities for people of all ages and abilities,” said Sue Thompson, who is Sales and Marketing Manager at Maidstone YMCA.

“We have activities to suit everyone and there is an even bigger incentive to join now thanks to our New Year Sale! People can now pay just £1 for January on all direct debit memberships.”

With a state of the art fitness suite, exercise classes, football pitches, sports hall and children's activity programme, there are many ways for you or your famly to enjoy being active.

That membership offer includes unlimited gym and group exercise classes, FREE creche and FREE parking.

Adult activities at the centre include badminton, basketball, football, cricket, 3G 5-a-side pitches, over 60's sessions, fitness classes and a gym.

There is also a four-week AnteNatal course covering all aspects of labour, birth options and aftercare.

When it comes to kids, Maidstone YMCA boasts a range of activities that are ideal whether it’s babies or teenagers.

They include 'drop in' sessions such as, football, roller skating, karate and basketball.

Maidstone YMCA also provide disability changing facilities that include a height adjustable adult sized changing bench, electronic tracking hoist system, space enough for the disabled person and two carers, non slip flooring and wet room shower.

“Parents will be interested to know that we now have some great new sessions for infants and children up to 5-years-old,” continued Sue

“These sessions are parent supported and are a great way to meet other parents and develop your child's social skills.”

YMCA enables people to develop their full potential in mind, body and spirit.

Maidstone YMCA is open from 6:30am to 10pm from Mondays to Fridays and weekends from 8am to 6pm.
