Tunbridge Wells: Kent band We Are Bandicoot release their debut album, Temper, at the Sussex Arms in The Pantiles

It sounds like a scene from Withnail and I, but Kent five-piece We Are Bandicoot really did shut themselves away together in a secluded farmhouse to make their debut album.
The group, who formed in January 2013 and are fronted by Simon Briley, enjoyed a self-enforced exile, complete with no phone signal, for their months of music making.
However, they did take time out for a few gigs including playing at Earl’s for the Maidstone Fringe Festival and at LeeFest. Apart from that it’s all been a about the new album, Temper.
Recalling the likes of Pink Floyd and Jeff Buckley, the band’s harmonies and experimental grooves will be unveiled at their launch party this weekend.
Alongside Simon, the band’s line-up is Antony Grant on guitar, Harvey Nowers on guitar, Lewis Osmant on bass and Matt Chesson on drums.
Their sold-out Temper launch party was held at the Sussex Arms in The Pantiles, Tunbridge Wells, on Friday, November 11, while the album will go on sale on Friday, November 18.
They recorded the album at Lana Banana Studios in Sevenoaks. It is released under independent label, Blizzard Records.
