Mark Haddon’s The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time comes to the Orchard Theatre in Dartford

The award-winning stage production of the Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is set to captivate a whole new audience.
The National Theatre’s gripping adaptation of Mark Haddon’s 2003 novel is coming to Dartford’s Orchard Theatre from Tuesday, May 10 to Saturday, May 14.
The show, which has received seven Olivier Awards and five Tony Awards, gives audiences a glimpse into the unique and extraordinary mind of 15-year-old Christopher Boone.
When Christopher’s life is turned upside down after he discovers the neighbour’s dead dog, he sets off on a journey that sees him step outside of his comfort zone and explore the world on his terms.
The stunning show, which has now been seen by over 5 million people worldwide, features captivating production by Bunny Christie, who has won awards for her work on productions such as A Streetcar Named Desire and Company.
The Orchard is also holding a relaxed atmosphere performance on Thursday, May 12, which aims to provide a more comfortable environment allowing for noise and movement in the theatre.
This performance is perfect for those who would benefit from this atmosphere, including customers with dementia, anxiety, Tourette’s, bowel and bladder conditions, an autism spectrum condition or a learning disability.
There will be a chill-out space where audience members can relax if they need time away from the auditorium and trained staff will be on-hand to help with any issues.
Access performances of the show also include a BSL interpreted performance on Tuesday, May 10, a captioned performance on Friday, May 13 and an audio described performance on Saturday, May 14.
