Three of this year’s Mercury Prize nominees will perform together at a huge charity gig this autumn.

Cat Burns, Corinne Bailey Rae and Ghetts, all of whom have recently been nominated for Album of the Year, are set to appear at More Life: Pass the Mic at The O2 in London.

The concert has been organised by the Stephen Lawrence Day Foundation and will take place on what would have been Stephen Lawrence’s 50th birthday, with profits going to the foundation.

The event features more than 12 artists representing Black culture and the community in southeast London where Stephen, who was killed in a racially motivated attack at the age of 18, lived.

Headliner AJ Tracey, whose tracks Ladbroke Grove and Rain reached the Top 10 in the UK Singles Chart, will be joined by the likes of Clavish, Wretch 32 and D Double E, along with the three prize nominees.

London songwriter Cat Burns is one of eight first-time nominees up for the award this year, including CMAT, English Teacher and the Last Dinner Party, for her debut album Early Twenties, released in July.

Singer Corinne Bailey Rae, who was previously put forward for the Mercury Prize in 2010, has been given a second shot at winning thanks to her latest album, Black Rainbows.

However, even without the win she still has plenty of other accolades under her belt, including two Grammy Awards, two MOBO Awards and a BRIT Award nomination for her 2006 single Put Your Records On.

Grime artist Ghetts, who is also billed to appear at the concert, released his fourth album On Purpose With Purpose in February, which has seen him earn his second Mercury Prize nomination.
