The largest line-up of steam engines seen at the Weald of Kent Steam Rally has its starting orders this weekend.

Some 135 full size and scale engines are booked in for the traditional event, which will take place at Little Engeham Farm, Woodchurch on Saturday, August 3 and Sunday, August 4.

Among them will be more than 50 full size steam engines taking part in arena events and there will be a working area with threshing machines and saw benches.

Also part of the fun will be a Victorian fair with a carousel, a ride-on railway and classic cars, as well as military vehicles and stalls.

Throughout the weekend, there's a chance to peek inside a restoration marquee, which shows the work that goes into bringing the machines back to life.

The rally features a fully licensed bar with locally-brewed beers and ciders, and food stalls. Among the attractions will be a Wall of Death at the Harris Old Tyme Funfair. To find out more about the weekend, go to wealdofkentsteamrally.co.uk
