One of the most anticipated film releases of modern times made its way up the red carpet to premiere at a Kent cinema last night.

After an 18-month wait Daniel Craig's final outing as James Bond in No Time To Die premiered in London - and at a screening simultaneously at Bluewater's Showcase Cinema.

It was one of a number of exclusive screenings around the country, celebrating key workers, which also included live footage and star interviews from the London premiere.

And those attending were not disappointed as the long-awaited blockbuster ticked every Bond fan's wishlist, though it was also tinged with sadness as it was the last time to see Daniel Craig as 007.

The thrilling film – also starring Lashana Lynch, Ana De Armas and Lea Seydoux – is out in cinemas on Thursday after multiple pandemic-enforced delays.

There was breathtaking cinematography, from sweeping landscapes to suspenseful scenes, as well as stunts and action to keep cinemagoers on the edge of their seats.

Daniel Craig's Bond was both suave and slick but also funny and relaxed at times, and, as it was his last outing, showing emotion we have never quite seen from Bond.

All actors were at the top of their game, from Rami Malek as the baddie to test Bond, to Lea Seydoux as Madeleine Swann, and even a brief but memorable high-kicking performance by Ana de Armas as Paloma.

But with plot, action and excellent supporting acting, all eyes were on Daniel Craig - and rightly so.

Despite a running time of two hours and 43 minutes, we could have carried on watching him all night. Sadly, it was the last time, but it was a fitting - and very emotional - end to his time as 007.
