A live music series that takes place in a town centre is back with a new name and a jam-packed line-up of artists.
Live at the Pantiles, previously known as Jazz on the Pantiles, will bring a diverse programme of musicians, singers and bands to Tunbridge Wells’ shopping street.
The concert series is introducing new genres for this year, including funk, soul, pop, rock and ska, while continuing to promote local jazz artists as in previous years.
“Jazz on The Pantiles has been an incredible journey, but we felt it was time to refresh the event and broaden its appeal,” says Jason Vickers, who has helped organise the event. “Live at The Pantiles encapsulates the essence of what we offer – a dynamic showcase of live music spanning various genres.”
The series kicks off with a performance from Paul Malsom, a guitarist inspired by Brazilian and jazz music.
Every Thursday evening will see a different artist take to the stage, including the Simon Spillett Quartet, the Vince Dunn Orchestra, Swinging Little Big Band, Jive Aces, Skatonics and Blues Brothers’ Little Brother.
There will also be a pop-up bar for visitors to purchase drinks during the performances.
Tickets start from £5 when booked online here and can also be purchased on the door.
The series starts on Thursday, May 2 and continues weekly on Thursday evenings until September 12. Performances take place from 7pm to 10pm.
