Rock band Primal Scream will be blasting their greatest hits by the seaside next summer.
The band have been announced as the latest to perform at next year’s summer series at Dreamland in Margate on Saturday, August 5.
Tickets go on sale on Friday, November 11. You can book tickets from 11am here.
Fronted by founding member Bobby Gillespie, Primal Scream have a back-catalogue spanning more than 35 years and are best known for singles such as Movin’ On Up, Rocks and Loaded.
The band have achieved seven Top 10 albums, including Screamadelica and Give Out But Don't Give Up, and were the first ever winners of the Mercury Music Prize in 1992.
The ‘90s legends will be joined in Kent next summer by Happy Mondays.
One of Manchester’s most influential bands, Happy Mondays shot to fame in the 1980s and as one of the artists signed to Tony Wilson's Factory Records label, alongside the likes of Joy Division and New Order.
Their hits, including Step On, Kinky Afro and 24 Hour Party People, have led to two BRIT Award nominations and an Ivor Novello Award in 2016.
The concert is the latest to be revealed as part of Dreamland’s 2023 summer season.
Last week, the vintage fairground venue announced that Bastille will be performing next year, as well as the return of the Soundcrash Funk and Soul Weekender with Kool and the Gang and Hot 8 Brass Band.
Tickets for both previously announced concerts are on sale now.
