The Priscilla Queen of the Desert tour bus pulled up at the Orchard Theatre in Dartford last week, and I was lucky enough to see it last night.
From the moment the show opens it's a magical mix of dancing, song and fabulous entertainment and this version has as rather modern feel about it.
Don't get me wrong, it was still full of Raining Men and there was some very Hot Stuff on stage, but the show now features more fabulous one-liners and incredibly funny sassy scenes.
It features Holby City, Casualty and Heartbeat star Joe McFadden, who takes the lead role of Tick.
The former Strictly Come Dancing winner was just amazing in his role, as were the two other drag queens.
The show is my sister's favourite and we saw it several times in London, and the story follows three friends, (all drag queens) board a battered old bus for the Outback of Australia to put on a show in Alice Springs.
Their epic journey is a heart-warming musical medley story of self-discovery, acceptance and non-stop dancing in just utterly outrageous costumes.
With more glitter and feathers than ever before, you can't help but clap and move in your seat as you sing along to the non-stop dance floor classics like I Will Survive, I Love the Nightlife and Finally.
Nick Hayes, stars as Adam/Felicia, and Miles Western stars as Bernadette, and all three queens get the audience immediately laughing and smiling from ear to ear.
The show is also the first time theatre-goers got to sit in the see new auditorium's comfortable seats after it underwent a revamp which had been carried out through the summer.
This version of the show is authentic to the original story which is now 25 years old, but has a few new twists and turns and modern song medleys, and some absolutely cracking, rather rude one-liners.
It's a must for musical theatre goers.
The Priscilla Queen of the Desert is on at the theatre until Saturday, September 14.
