For something different, head over to Revolution Climbing Centre in Broadstairs and give climbing a go without worrying about the wind or rain.
There is a wide range of activities for different ages and abilities including bouldering, low level climbing, top rope and abseiling.
The indoor centre features overhangs, natural walls, caves, and an impressive nine metre wall.
Bouldering sessions can be booked in advance or you can just turn up on the day. Climbers must register for a competency test (for a one-off fee of £5) on your first visit but can access the facilities at anytime thereafter.
First-timers can book a group trial or taster session or for a fuller experience, a professional instructor can be hired for a one-on-one session for £25 per hour plus the normal entry fee.
Equipment can be bought in the on-site store or online or it can be hired on the day.
Revolution Climbing Centre is a great way to encourage your children to learn a new skill, boost their confidence and have tons of fun at the same time.
The venue is also home to large skatepark for skateboards, BMX, rollerblades and scooters so make sure to bring the relevant equipment if you fancy a go on the ramps too.

Opening times: 10am to 10pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 10am to 8pm Sunday and 10am to 4pm on Monday and Thursday during school and public holidays only.
Price: From £10 each for a climbing training session or £6 each for a general climbing or bouldering session
Age suitability: All ages - children under seven must be supervised by an adult
