Satirical stand-up star and political podcaster Nish Kumar is back on tour.
The Pod Save the UK host is taking his new live show, Nish Don’t Kill My Vibe, on the road - and he’s visiting three Kent venues along the way.
The comedian will begin his run of Kent dates at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury, before heading to the Assembly Hall Theatre in Tunbridge Wells and then rounding off his time in the county at The Woodville in Gravesend.
The tour will see Nish tackle controversial topics like climate change, income inequality and this year’s general election.
“As the world collapses around us,” says the 39-year-old comic. “I look forward to dragging my increasingly decrepit body out on tour and doing the only thing that still makes sense to me – stand up comedy.”
Nish Kumar began his career at Durham University, where he studied and performed in the Durham Revue alongside fellow comedians Ed Gamble, host of the Off Menu podcast, and Ted Lasso actor Nick Mohammed.
Since then, he has performed his own solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and appeared in a number of TV shows, including Taskmaster, Mock the Week and Have I Got News for You.
In 2017, the London-born comic was announced as the host of the Mash Report, later known as Late Night Mash. Nish was at the helm of the topical sketch show, which also starred Ellie Taylor, Rachel Parris, Jason Forbes and Geoff Norcott, until 2021.
He has also hosted a travel show for Netflix alongside Joel Dommett, the first three series of the News Quiz and Hello America, a comedy show on streaming platform Quibi.
Since May last year, Nish has presented Pod Save the UK, a weekly British political comedy podcast, with journalist Coco Khan.
Nish Kumar will be at the Marlowe Theatre on Wednesday, November 6.
He will then be at the Assembly Hall Theatre on Wednesday, November 20 and The Woodville on Thursday, November 21. You can book tickets here.
