The Heritage Transport Show is back and ready to celebrate vintage vehicles at the Kent Showground this April.

The exhibition, hosted by the Kent County Agricultural Society, will see more than 1,000 classic cars and vehicles on display on Saturday, April 2.

Gearheads can visit the showground and discover motorcycles, tractors, steam and stationary engines, commercial and military vehicles, and classic cars ranging from everyday family transport to rare and unique sports cars.

This year, the exhibition will once again be joined by the South East Bus Festival. For the 11th year running, the South East Bus Festival will bring a number of buses and coaches from the area to the Heritage Transport Show, in addition to its existing display.

While there is plenty for transport enthusiasts to explore, there will also be a range of activities for the whole family to enjoy. The show offers rides in a vintage bus, farmers markets and food and drink stalls.

From campervan street food to a bar on a bus, there's no shortage of places for a pitstop during the event. For those wanting more than a quick roadside break, Mrs Hugh’s Vintage Tearoom will also be open for guests to sit back and tuck into a slice of cake and a cup of tea.

The Kent County Agricultural Society hosts a number of events in and around the county, including the Kent County Show and the Farm Expo.

The charity focuses on the improvement of agriculture, horticulture, farming and rural crafts, and encourages education in these fields through its programme of events.

The Heritage Transport Show was cancelled at short notice due to the pandemic in 2020. It was originally due to return in April 2021, but organisers had to postpone the event until October last year.

This year is the first time the exhibition has been able to welcome visitors in the spring since 2019.

The Heritage Transport Show takes place on Saturday, April 2 from 10am to 4.30pm. Adult tickets start from £10. Book online here.
