Pop trio Sugababes will be fronting the Margate Pride celebrations this summer, bringing their biggest hits to the Kent coast.

Margate Pride Festival, a live music and entertainment concert celebrating the LGBTQ+ community, will be headlined by the original Sugababes line-up this August.

Previously, it was announced that the Margate Pride Festival would feature ‘90s pop group All Saints at the top of the bill.

However, since the original concert was postponed due to Covid restrictions, the group are no longer able to perform and have instead been replaced by the Sugababes.

The venue has confirmed on its website that all original tickets purchased will still be valid for the concert this year, despite the line-up changes.

All Saints were originally due to perform at the Margate Pride Festival, but no longer appear on the line-up.

Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy began performing together as the Sugababes in 1998 - coincidentally, under All Saints manager Ron Tom. Their first album, One Touch, was released in 2000.

Over the years, the members have changed several times, most notably to include singer Heidi Range, but the original trio reunited in 2019 and have toured together ever since.

Since their formation, the group has achieved six number one singles, including Freak like Me, Round Round, Push the Button and About You Now. They also reached the top 10 album chart five times over the course of their 24-year career.

The Margate Pride Festival will see Dreamland, which opens for its summer season on weekends and bank holidays from Sunday, May 29, welcome guests from 4pm for an evening of fabulous live music.

The full line-up is yet to be announced, so keep an eye on the Dreamland website and Facebook page for further announcements.

Margate Pride Festival takes place on Saturday, August 13 from 4pm to 11pm. Book tickets online here.
