The Feeling’s Dan Gillespie Sells will perform at a Christmas concert with Neptunes Choir in Canterbury

A Kent choir will be joined by The Feeling frontman Dan Gillespie Sells for a special festive concert.

The Neptunes Choir, based in Broadstairs, will be performing a one-off show this Christmas with a star turn from the chart-topping singer.

Dan Gillespie Sells, known for hits with his band including Fill My Little World and Never Be Lonely, will perform before Neptunes Choir takes to the stage.

The Sussex-based band rose to fame in 2005 with the release of their debut single and the album Twelve Steps and Home, released the following year.

The pop rock group went on to achieve four Top 10 singles and reached Number 1 on the UK Album Chart with their second record, Join with Us, in 2008.

The frontman also composed the music for West End musical Everybody's Talking About Jamie, which was turned into a feature film starring Sarah Lancashire, Richard E Grant and Max Harwood in 2021.

The Christmas concert will take place at the Great Hall at Kent College in Canterbury and will raise money for Mama to Mama, a baby bank service in Margate.

The charity provides pre-loved items to vulnerable pregnant women, caregivers and children under five living in poverty.

The event is on Saturday, December 9. You can book tickets online here.

Doors open at 4.30pm and the concert begins at 5pm.
