A perfect day in the pink

I want to start this week’s column by saying a huge thank you to everyone who came along and took part in the Pink Ribbon walk at Leeds Castle last weekend!
The organisers asked me to lead the sponsored stroll in aid of Breast Cancer Care and we had so much fun marching through the castle’s beautiful grounds.
Loads of people turned up and there was a great atmosphere.
It was fantastic to see everyone in their pink costumes – even a couple of the dogs being walked were wearing pink!
It was been a great week on kmfm Breakfast, and one of the highlights was talking to Union J.
The boyband appeared on ITV’s X Factor last year, reaching the final four in the talent show, and they chatted to my co-presenter Rob Wills and I about their debut single Carry You, which was released this month.
The foursome will also be back in Kent in July to perform at the Sound Island Festival in Quex Park, Birchington, and they said they were really looking forward to it.
The boys were really down to earth and chatty, and we had a good laugh with them. They even played 10 in 30!
Rob and I will be at Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre in Gillingham on Friday, June 21.
We will be playing games and giving away loads of cool prizes for the whole family.
I don’t want to give away too much but it is a fashion event so I will have full control over Rob’s wardrobe for an hour!
Make sure you come and find out what I dress him in! We will be there between 5pm and 7pm.
