The work of an award-winning children’s author will be brought to life in Kent.
Michael Morpurgo’s I Believe in Unicorns has been turned into a stage show by the Olivier Award-nominated Wizard Presents production company – and is coming to Folkestone’s Quaterhouse on Saturday, October 25, at 3.30pm.
The show, which aims to inspire little ones to read, has enjoyed success on previous theatre runs and is set in a library full of books that hold more than stories within their pages. It is a tale of the power of books, and the bravery of a young boy called Tomas.
An enchanting and interactive show, I Believe in Unicorns sparks imagination in both young and old and audiences are invited to add their own piece of magic to the story by bringing a children’s book to become part of the set, and swap it for another at the end.
I Believe in Unicorns will also be showing at the Wood Avenue Library, Folkestone at 11.30am on Saturday, October 25.
Tickets £6 for adults, £5 for children and £20 for a family.
