Heavy metal doesn’t get much heavier than this.
The Weald of Kent Steam Rally at Woodchurch will see more than 130 full size and scale steam engines thunder in over the weekend.
The hugely popular event, which is held at Little Engeham Farm, will have stationary engines, tractors, commercial and military vehicles and classic cars and on top of that there will be a funfair with vintage rides, sideshows and games for little ones.
All set in the rural idyll, which is home to the Woodchurch War Birds, there will also be a flypast by one of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Spitfires each day.
A steam lorry and working horses and cart will be offering rides for those who wish to travel in old fashioned style, and visitors can also browse stalls.
With arena displays throughout the days, there are opportunities to steer a steam engine yourself.
Looking at steam engines can be thirsty work, so there will be a beer tent, and also food outlets.
