World Book Day 2017 in Kent: send us your pictures of your costumes

From Mad Hatters to Harry Potters and Willy Wonkas - they'll all be heading off to school in Kent today, as schools celebrate World Book Day.

Children across the county - and teachers - are setting off to school dressed as their favourite book characters today for the national celebration.

World Book Day - which this year is on Thursday, March 2 - is held every year to celebrate the magic of stories and pictures, and to show just how much fun books and reading can be. And this year is special as it is the 20th anniversary of the event.
